Ever since, quality of life in CLECA S.p.A. premises has always had primary role, but now it is also certified. After having obtained long ago ISO 9001 - VISION 2000 certifications, last June CLECA S.p.A. obtained SA8000:2001 Social Liability Ethic Certification, issued by SGS-ICS, a worldwide leader in certification field.
SA8000 is a regulation based on the principle of the 11 conventions of International Labour Organization, on the convention of United Nations concerning children's rights and on universal declaration of human rights. The scope of the regulation includes any working condition, such as: juvenile work, forced labour, health and safety, free association and collective bargaining, discrimination, working time, remuneration and managing systems. By this certification, CLECA safeguards any worker and its work from any point of view and expects the respect of the same rules from its suppliers. Our main aim is to increase companies and suppliers' attention towards the use of inhuman and unfair working conditions and practices.
